How to avoid tumbu fly (cordylobia anthropophaga )

Greetings to all women in steem women community. I trust we are all doing well. I thought is wise to write about a parasite commonly called tumbu fly or skin maggot today because I know it will help a mother or a future mother in this community.
Tumbu fly is a specie of insect called anthropophaga which becomes a parasite at its larval stage. What happens is that when the insect lays the eggs and the get incontact with the host, it inters under the skin of the host then feeds on the host and begin to mature in to a maggot and when it fully matures it burst its way out af the body and develops in to a fly after a few weeks.
Now how does it get contact with its host
This tumbu fly loves wet areas, dirty areas, like things that smells urine things that smell sweat that is why here in cameroon it mostly inter the skin of children that pee in bed. But this fly can also lays eggs in dry places or even when you dry dresses outside and the fall on the ground.
How do you know when larval is entering your body? It is difficult to determine when its entring your body because it can not be seen with the necked eye when its still at the egg stage and it painlessly burrow in to the skin. It will only be after some few days when u will notice maybe a red itchy spot on your body like a mosquito bite and as time goes by it will develop in to a hard red boil or a boil with a tiny dark spot because it is feeding on host tissues and getting bigger . At this point you will be able to see or feel the larvae wiggling under the skin.
This larvae causes a lot of discomfort such as
Itchiness, insomnia, pain,restlessness ,fever sensation under the skin. Yes it is very possible to remove from the skin when you notice it by seeing a doctor or removing it at home by your self. You can remove by increasing the size of the hole and gently squeezing them out as if you a pressing pimples .
You cand also cover the black spot on the boil with petroleum jelly of wax so the maggot will came out to seak air and you will pull it out.
It is very important to remove maggot in one piece so no tiny ramnant remains under the skin to avoid infection.
To prevent all this we can dry our dresses indoors but if we don't have the indoor space we can iron all our dresses before wearing and taking care of our children that pee on the bed helping to dry the metras daily and checking their bodies frequently to make sure they are safe.
