Steem Women Club Community Contest #8 My Handicraft: plane knitting | DIY

I'm really excited for taking participation in the Steem women's club once again through another magnificent contest, where we can show up our creativity. This time by demonstration of my skills in handicraft with beads and thread using a classic technique of this handicraft. Yes, we'll be talking about the plane knitting.

When I was a college student, sometimes I used to have enough time to handcraft accessories like earrings, necklaces, belts, etcétera. So in this quarantine I have enough time once again and I'm planning to retake this skill meanwhile I'm waiting for a new job opportunity.😁

I'll be showing you the following pics, step by step, indicating how to build this type of knitting. We'll be needing few materials like:

Let's start with three ends of at least two colors to distinguish between them during the process and facilitate the explanation. One of them serves as a base to be wrapped by the other two and I'll choose the red one in the center.

Everybody knows how to do a knot, right? I'm going to use the yellow and green one for this, then pass the red thread through the formed knot, as is illustrated in the pictures. The next thing is to pull both free ends to start knitting.

The step is repeated until you get the desired length. You can insert and distribute some beads before to put a new knot in order to create a nice design.

This one is extremely versatile to have key-rings and bracelets, for sure. The photographies talk themselves. Take a look.
