DIY Paper Flowers Décor ~ Ideas for your Living Room

Hello Steemians and all beautiful women of the community! This week's assignment is to be crafty and the ladies are tasked to make handicrafts for the Steem Women Club Community Contest #8 ' Handicrafts ' Time to Show Ingenuity || DIY. So here is my entry for this week's contest DIY Paper Flower Décor. There are 3 ideas that I would like to introduce you, DIY Paper Flowers Floor Lamp, DIY Wall Paper Flowers Décor and DIY Photo Frame.

DIY Paper Flowers Décor Floor Lamp

When I first learned and discovered the world of paper flower crafts, I was drawn to its cheekiness and happiness that it gives me. I feel happy making this simple art. Paper flowers make me smile and that is the best gift of all! I hope I also bring to you these happy vibes when you transform pieces of paper into impressive artworks for your home.

Paper flowers that are so attractive and easy to do can elevate space and made anyone's day. It's totally funky and cheeky. For this challenge, I would like to do this simple DIY of paper flowers that I would then decorate to a floor lamp to enhance the look. So I bought a pack of colorful papers for RM5.90 at Daiso and a masking tape for RM2.00 so the total cost spent for this DIY is RM7.90.

Let's start making our paper flowers decor, switch to my favorite TV program while doing this crafty thing.

Methods

1. Lay 7 sheets of paper on top of each other.

2. Fold each paper at 1.5cm intervals like an accordion as shown below.

3. Tie the centre of the paper with a twister string and twist to lock.

4. Expand both ends till it looks like ribbons.

5. Hold only one sheet of paper and carefully pull each sheet up one by one in opposite directions. Please be careful not to tear it. In the same way, pull up each sheet alternately from side to side.

Paper Flowers are completed and ready for Décor.

I would like to enhance this floor lamp using paper flowers.

Using masking tapes, I stick paper flowers on the floor lamp.

Wala ready and let's light it up ~ Pretty light in the living room.

Frames Décor ~ Enhancing a frame

Wall Paper Flowers Décor ~ Here is an idea for the wall decor. I already have all those small frames on the wall. So I just added those paper flowers to add the creativeness of the wall and making it the feature wall. I used masking tape to stick it on the wall.

Paper flowers are so cheap and easy to do, you can also use it to create a fantastic look in your dining room and bedroom, especially the children's bedroom. Kids would love these colorful artworks in their bedroom. Best if you can do this artwork together with your children, this will be a fantastic art project for your family that creates the bonding between you and them. Have fun...
