Friendzoned

Friendships are one of the best things a person can have. Having friends that understand you, like what you like, respect you, disrespect you, love you and support you. It’s difficult to find people who you genuinely connect with.

Sometimes it gets complicated. Being friends with the opposite sex sometimes leads to one of the people involved or even both developing feelings for the other. In most cases, One person develops unrequited feelings for the other but keeps it secret to protect the friendship while hurting every moment of the way.

It’s understandable that you didn’t mean to fall for your bestfriend, but shit happens. You’ll have to pretend to be comfortable with her telling you about her boyfriend and how much she’s enjoying with him. I mean don’t get me wrong, might sound selfish but you just hurt hearing her talk about them so much when you just want to tell her you love her.

In extreme situations, you’re going to try to stay away from her to “keep your feelings in check”. Then after a couple of weeks when she hasn’t heard from you, she hates you for ghosting her. She doesn’t even know what you were doing staying away. But did the staying away even work? Did it?

You’ve been avoiding her for weeks and when you connect again in a while, it seems the time spent apart actually weakened the vibe. There’s nothing to talk about and you look like 2 strangers who just met. It’s just messed up.

What do you do? Tell her what’s happening with you to fix things or leave things how they are?
