CONTEST: Where and When did you find steemit and how do you see steemit so far in your steem journey?
Introduction
It's yet another interesting contest from the steem-ghana community, this day we were asked to share where and when did we find steemit and how do you see steemit so far in our steem journey. Seriously this is one of the things that keeps ringing in my head because, whenever i remember the very first day i was told about steemit i always pray for the person because he has given me a lifetime opportunity where i will learn from different people worldwide and also gain rewards for writing good contents.
Where and When did you find steemit
I found steemit through this young man @simonnwigwe during our school days. At federal university wukari Taraba State.
At first, I never believed that something like this will ever exist because I have seen where people are being scammed in different platforms.The first day my friend told me about steemit, was in December 2020 when we were making phone calls. Back then we were on holiday and he told me that when we resume back to school he will put me through. But I was like isn't this going to be a scam? he just laughed and said until we see.
When we resume school in January 2021, I saw my friend with a big phone hummm! Then i asked because i know him to some extent but the only answer he gave to me was steemit has done this. Immediately i recall what he told me a about steemit. At that point i was curious to know how steemit did the magic 🤣 But he said I should calm down and when I did, he explained everything to me. Immediately i asked him to sign me up. This happens on the 31st of january 2021 at federal university Wukari, Taraba State Nigeria.
After signing me up, writing was a problem for me, because I have never involved myself in any content writing before, so that day he guided me on how to write my achievement one task, I was not too sure if what I wrote was good, I told him to help me write,but he said if he should help me on this one who will do the remaining task for me. He encouraged to write it myself which i did but, i was still scared if i will be accepted or not but when the achievement one was approved then I know my steemit journey has started.
At some point, the journey was sweet to the extent I also bought my phone after writing content for a month. But sometimes if I write and there is no vote, i will be discouraged to continue but one thing that helped me was my friend, he was always there for me, he encouraged me to be active and consistent with or without a vote. And he always makes sure that I drop at least one article in a day if not he will call me and ask the reasons why I did not. And that has really helped me in my steemit journey.
How do you see steemit so far in your steem journey?
So far, the journey had been very good and interesting to me. Since i joined the platform, i have no regret at all because, i have tested and seen the goodness of this platform through the following:
- I have learn how to write creative article, Also I was able to learned different skills in this platform. Also i have met a lot of friends worldwide, Most especially during the engagement challenge contest, that's one of the best moment for me to interact with many users.
- The platform has helped me both financial and otherwise, back then in school, I depend on my parents for eventually everything. But my encountered with steemit, has changed everything. I always settle my bills without disturbing my parents or anyone else for help.
- As days passes by, the steemit team has been introducing a new initiative that will benefit its users, and one of the initiatives that helped me a lot is the club status. This has made me save my earnings through powering up my liquid steem. I'm always proud of myself whenever i open my wallet because, back then saving was a big problem for me.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my steemit journey has been good and i can't stop thanking my friends for showing me the way to steemit. Thank you @steem-ghana for organizing this beautiful contest. I want to invite @temitopef @mjerry and @jasminemery to come and participate in the contest.
Your friend did a nice thing introducing you to the Steemit platform and he guided and ensure you make posts every day. Thanks to him you were able to get your phone and sort your bills through your earnings on steemit. Thank you for sharing dear and thanks for the invite.
