Application for Community of the Month Support Program
Greetings to steemit team and the leadership of the blockchain,
As mandated for communities it is pertinent that one does apply for the community of the month support program and so we are by this post turning in our application for the program for the month of September. This application is by the community leaders of Steem Ghana.
Community Purpose
We seek to bring all Ghanaians under one umbrella whiles working towards self sufficiency. We also seek to make steem know through out the Country and as the only Ghanaian community on the blockchain it is incumbent on us to get this done, this is done through regular promotional activities held within the various regions and localities where are steemians find ourselves. We are also looking at a future where we can make more use of the media to tell about steemit which some of our steemians are already doing.
The community connects Ghanaian Steemians all over the country to know one another and help us achieve various aims. We are also aimed at helping others get their life’s to a better level by intensifying our promotional activities towards Steem. We hope to bring more people to Steemit blockchain who are determined to invest and touch many lives of people. In doing so, it will turn to bridge the gap between the poor and rich thereby alleviating poverty and set freedom for the vulnerable in the society.
Community Team
We are currently a Team of 3 Country Reps and 5 community support members. The idea is so everyone within the community can be reached and the necessary support given to all and sundry. Duties have been shared accordingly such that plagiarism, contest creation, comments and engagement and support for newbies will all be looked at accordingly.
Country reps supervise the works of our moderators (5 Team Members) and also ensure that everything is run smoothly. Works such as report writing are done by country representatives whiles moderators ensure every post is visited in addition organizing contests.. The Team of Leaders make sure to organise meetings and meetups and report on the state of the community; active members and inactive and the general overview of how the community should be develop.

Plagiarism & Abuse
Plagiarism isn't something the steemit ecosystem needs. For the past months till now, we have been on our toes for plagiarized content. What we discovered were some few for the month of August which were dealt with immediately. This has been the norm for about three months now and we can bodly say plagiarism is being capped in our community.
Abuses might be common, but in our Ghanaian communities is isn't encouraged. This has influence the Ghanaians in the steemit community and we haven't observed or noticed any abusive content. We doing our best to make this ecosystem great. And in doing that plagiarism and abusive content can't help and that's what our leadership are doing.
Engagement and Commenting
The country reps and moderators in our community try as much as possible to leave comments on every post in the community after going through the post and making sure it has all the requirements to be qualified as a quality post.
We have our leaders enlightening the community members about the need to involve and engage. Bringing to their attention as to the comment, sharing and following of individuals. Thus members have cultivated the habit of commenting, resteeming and even following. That's how we know we are engaging. When we engage, it gives users hope to keep pushing because their works are loved. It have been positive even though not much have joined in this compaign but we are working and hoping to make it large as we move on.
Plans and Update
As a community, we run contests this is to develop and build the interest of every member, we plan to bring out a projects in addition to what we already have such bettervision and ghanacare to touch lives and also draw more Ghanaians to join our community on the blockchain.
We plan to also broaden the use of steem platform among the Ghanaian unemployed peers , this can reduce the hunger and cry of so many graduates out there looking or jobsThat's through promos which seeks to inform them about the benefits and how well we can get better at our writing at the same get rewarded for it.
Promotion
We organise various seminars and virtual conferences, discord and telegram meetings where we seek the presence of both steemians and non steemians. As a community, we have been able to sign up many individuals through this means including the ladies we have brought on board.
Also, we take steps to sensitize traders and financial agencies such as the mobile money vendors for them to get on board. This is because, we believe they can help facilitate steem transactions in the long run. We have also instilled the wearing of steem t-shirts in our steemians and constantly encourage them to go out there and speak to people about this ecosystem.

We believe that as the only Ghanaian community on the blockchain seeking to bring Ghanaians under one umbrella and make steem known through every nook and cranny, supporting us will not only help sustain our community and help members grow towards self sufficiency but also motivate members to be able to continuously work towards the achievement of the aims and objectives of the community. We do hope you consider us.
Conclusion
We want to use this opportunity to express our appreciation and gratitude for been selected for booming support in the previous application. We will continue to do the very best we can and give out our best in all instances.
