How To Explain Terms or Jargons On The Blockchain To My Fellow Steemian And How To Help Them Acquaint Themselves With It And To Use Them Appropriately In Their Steem Their Steem.

Good evening to everyone. It's yet another interesting contest organized by the @steem-ghana community. I hope everyone is doing great today as I am. Alhamdulillah for the gift of life. It's always excitement having contest every week. A special thanks goes to @jazkid and @oppongk for their efforts.

How to explain terms or Jargons to on the blockchain to a fellow Steemian.

First of all, it is very important for every new member to know terms that are in use in the blockchain. And a new member can not be able to know them without hearing it from someone or asking old members about those terms. Terms like, Power up,Power down, Curation reward,steem, steem wallet,SBD, newcomers community and many more.

As for me, the above mentioned were new to me the time I joined this blockchain. Asking my friend @lukman1 and taking note of how some of them are being used, it became known to. But I don't stop learning and asking of some terms in this blockchain. For a new member to be able to know them, I think they have to exercise patience, because learning it will take sometime to be able to get known to those terms.
I am also going to explain some Jargons eo the best of my knowledge, and with that, I hope new members will also get use to some of not all.

STEEM

It is a social blockchain that grows communities and make immediate revenue streams possible for user's by rewarding for sharing contents. Posting a content will attract votes from curators and country reps, after a week, the amount of vote your post attract will pay off to be SBD, which you now use your SBD to purchase your steem.

POWER UP

Power up is act of moving or transferring of STEEM to add more power to you as a steemit member, that will increase your curating earnings,voting power and many more. You can power up your steem by clicking your steem balance, a pop up will show, among them,you will find Power up.

POWER DOWN

This is when you decide to change your steem power to steem in order to use your steem to buy SBD or to sell. It is done by clicking steem power(SP), the power down will show. But it is advisable that, a member should not be powering down always, because, the higher your steem power there you can participate in the crypto academy.

CURATION REWARD

This a reward a member gets after up voting a post, and it is in a form of steem power(SP).

NEWCOMERS COMMUNITY

The newcomers community is meant for only new members. And it contains achievements post that teach new members how to use the blockchain.

STEEM DOLLARS(SBD)

Steem dollar is what a member gets after his/ her post reached a week. The blockchain will pay for a post that gets votes in 7 days. You can use your SBD to buy STEEM and you can sell your SBD without using to buy STEEM. After a payout, 50% goes to the author and the remaining 50% is been shared among those who vote your post and you the one who post your content.

STEEM WALLET

The wallet is very important. It contain the amount of coin worth in dollars that is base on the market price. It is been used for transferring of steem tokens,power up and many more. It contains the amount of steem you have,your steem power, savings, TRX, estimated account value and history.
The history contains all the payout,steem purchase, steem power up, transfers and many more and have days for all those transactions.
