HOW I COULD ADOPT STEEM AS A LEGAL TENDER AS THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA

The presidency isn’t an easy job. We sit back and think things aren’t going right and the president isn’t doing things right. Do we think he is to be blamed but little did we do the weight of the burden on him? All the same, they still have to do their best to acquire the best for the country. Steem being a cryptocurrency, it will need a long way to go in Ghana. But below will be what I will do to help bring it as a legal exchange.

When people don’t know what something is it becomes difficult for that thing to be accepted. A well-detailed explanation of the mother set that’s blockchain is what should be started. I set up policies in place for my MPs to be educated well. They are the voices of their people. When they get the education well, after it’s accepted by them then it becomes easier for a broader education to the citizens. This is a step I think will help in a very great way.

The next one is getting through to the members. The physical money isn’t that valuable. Let them know that there is more value in keeping a digital asset than a physical asset. That’s where the MPs help in organizing seminars to help with knowledge-based education. When they see the need for a digital currency to come into play, they will accept steem as easy. Education has always been the best for people to value a new thing to come. With this education as the start, I think it will go a long way to make an effect its acceptance. This education starts from the primary and grows through to the higher level. Students will educate their parents and that’s where they become the mouthpiece of the nation. This can work.

The dollar to cedi ratio is vast. For the country of Ghana to develop, we have to find a way around which we can bridge the gap and bring it closer. The cedi will take years to get closer to the dollar. We take a million Ghana cedi to the stock market and we won’t get enough products to help in the development of the nation. But contrasting this with steem, we get closer to the ratio being minimal. Dollar to cedi being GH 7 - GH 8, with steem, we get closer to GH 3.46. This will be the start and will later grow to be closer. This will be a great benefit for us to have enough money to budget for development in Ghana.

The next to look at is the shipping and buying of items from abroad. Did you know even though we have charges when sending crypto, it is insignificant to what we pay for in shipping for those items we buy from abroad? If steem is accepted, we buy and pay in steem which is in the first place not that expensive and the next is the charges which aren’t that much compared to the amount that would have been paid in shipping, I think steem will go a long way into the development of our economy to give us that financial independence as a country.

With the uneducated people, they will see it clearly when we go back to the butter trade. Cryptocurrency is a form of butter trade whereby we give the currencies value. In this sense, unlike in the olden days, we use money in terms of its value to exchange for them. That’s the idea of crypto. We don’t have them offline but we own them virtually and can use them with the precise amount placed on them. Those days as you could trade 1 cowrie for a hat and its later changes because of the demand for the hat, that’s how cryptocurrencies are. Their values come from the demand and the amount of it that’s currently present. So, looking at crypto, I will say it’s the modern form of our olden butter trade.

These are the ways I will educate all, steem benefits, and how I will educate the uneducated to accept steem as a legal tender!
