A letter to my married Sister.

Dear sister,

I write with love and my eyes fill with tears. Not sorrow but that of joy to express your happiness on this day.
Every human dream of this day. Everyone wishes to find a person quite complete to complete his / her deen. You have gotten yours and we are much grateful to Allah.

It’s a gift to find someone to love you for your flaws. Loving a person is not by choice but that that by the heart’s decision. The heart chooses who we should love. But it’s left unto us to make a move to make that love stay. I think you have found yours. May you hold on to him till Jannah.

Marriage is an agreement. In agreements, things later get messy. What keeps it going is how true you are to each other. How strong you are to hold unto the special person when things are not going right. Love is a special feeling with no meaning until you find someone special to give you that. Today, Alhamdu has given you the meaning. Just make sure you understand it.

I’m not married yet but what I know about marriage… It will work In sha Allah. A man wants to be honored, respected and above all wants to feel like a boss. He wants everything to be done in his way. Nothing stops him from falling in love with other ladies. With the listed, you can handle them simply by respecting and accepting whatever his decision is. Our Holy prophet says “Women should obey their husbands no matter the situation except when they ask you to go against Allah.” Hold unto Him and make sure he is the boss and nothing is done without his permission. Your Jannah lies beneath his fit so worship him.

I will miss you. A space is created but I know with time it can only narrow not be replaced. A person like you can’t be replaced but be hoped to be seen always. May you live well with him. May Allah grant you the best of children. I will really miss you!
