STAY ACTIVE ON STEEMIT - ADD VALUE TO COMMUNITY, TAKE PART IN CONTESTS & ACTIVITIES, AND BE CONSISTENT
Greetings everyone,
It is no secret that our community has reduced in size and thereby affecting the amount of active posters. Thus, we need to ask ourselves what we can do to curb this situation.
As newbies, we are told the importance of value addition. This means that we must first of all consider what we can do for steemit to progress and not the other way round. And people who have understood this concept have seen the reward in doing so.
For instance, when the club5050 initiative was started, most people in several communities including our very own Steem Ghana saw it as a disadvantage and something that was probably against their own self interest. But people who saw the bigger picture at the time joined the trained and earned multiple times what they were getting before.
Similarly, as our community is now on the verge of deceleration, it is high time we bring it back to life. How do we do so? By adding value to it.
Our community is a democratic one where the views of others are always respected. Thus, we allow members to always bring in new contests so that we can give people something to write about. If there is therefore any contest you may like to present, there is nothing that is stopping you from doing so.
If you cannot also come forth with a contest, try to participate in the ones we present. That way, you can present your views on matters at hand.
By now and with the help of our consistent power ups, I am very optimistic that many of us have gained significant amount of steem power to support others in our community. My advise is that use it. Don't just let it sit idle as it becomes a waste of precious votes.
Also, learn to give valuable feedback on people's posts. That is the only way authors will know their words actually meant something and they feel appreciated.
Once we embrace this attitude, we will start gaining a great reputation as an outstanding community which would boost our activeness level once again.
