The UDS streets is the main road leading to the University for development studies campus here in Navrongo. There are lots of important places along this road which you would like to know of in the community.

While on the road today, it captures some moments which I would be sharing in this edition.

MTN Main Office In Navrongo

MTN is one of the biggest networks in the country with millions of customers nationwide. Currently, they are undertaking a SIM card registration exercise which is mandatory under the government to ensure effective security. This is why you see a long queue in front of the office.

Melcom Agent In Town

Melcom operates one of the largest shops in the country with multiple branches. The small towns which are less busy get agents that set up shops like this and operate under the Melcom name. Stuff is usually affordable in there shops and an item like ceiling fan goes for 120 cedis (52 steem).

Woodwork & Carpentry Shop

This is one of the woodwork and carpentry shops in the community which deals in the production of quality furniture. A good piece of furniture like bed goes for about 1,200 cedis (521.7 steem).

In this community, the locals like to have fun and party a lot during their leisure period. As such, you would find numerous hangout spots like this where people tend to party usually on the weekends. A drink like ceres goes for 13 cedis (5.65 steem).

Navrongo Center Cathedral

This is the biggest cathedral in the community where the Catholics usually come for service during their service and prayer hours.

Fruits & Vegetables Market

Here in the market, they have a designated area for the sale of fruits and vegetables. This area is where most of the common everyday fruits and vegetables can be found at a good price. You can get a good amount of tomatoes for about 5 cedis (2.17 steem).

Benzu Pharmacy

Benzu pharmacy is the closest pharmaceutical shop to the university for development studies here or that of Boscos training college. I normally come here for some pain killers or first aid such as gebedol which costs 3 cedis (1.3 steem) or vitamin c which costs 20 cedis (8.7 steem).

Motorbike Parking Area

At this side of the market, you can park your motorbike then enter the market for your shopping activities. There is a security man who is in charge of overseeing this bikes at a fee of 1 cedi (0.43 steem) per person.

Kids Biking Home After School

Here in Navrongo, there are various means of easy transport everywhere which makes life very simple and easy. One of such means is that of the bicycle and motorbikes. Kids who prefer their own means of transport usually go by bicycles as seen here.
