Let Us Learn To Patronize Local Goods To Boost Our Economy.
Hello people,
As we yearn for a successful economy here in Ghana, it is also extremely important for us to learn about the need to patronize our locally manufactured goods. This is extremely important because it is the foundation of development and true self reliance.
I say this because, we are blessed with every raw material possible as a country. We have fertile lands, multiple fruit seasons, fruitful harvests of all kinds, talented young enterpreneurs in multiple sectors, and yet our economy is always struggling. It is simply because, we have failed to help uplift it.
For quite some time now, ghanaian products have been seen as inferior to foreign products since we don't have faith in ourselves. We are of the view that the western countries have much better machinery and skills to produce the most quality materials. This is led even led to the falsification of several locally made goods being tagged as foreign made.
But take a stroll through our local traditional clothing line along the market and you will see eye-catching clothes lined up along the roads. You will even see many foreign customers purchasing these materials in numerous quantities. That goes to show you the demand such clothes have in the foreign market.
I must say that today's youth are slowly pushing our goods with the purchase of artware and designs rising by the day. Many of them have also entered fashion design and are coming out with impressive clothing designs that are becoming very popular in the country. And even at certain price tags, they still sell quite well.
I think this is what will help us to develop as a country and truly make us successful. Thank you.
if we rely on ourselves...other countries issues wont have an effect on our economy...self reliance is the key for developing a country. Sometimes dictatorship is the best option for developing countries if you get someone who is patriotic. It seem democracy is just designed to help the leaders steal and be corrupt
Excellent entry from you point of view. Local products are actually the best if you ask me. Let's patronize what we have.
Yes! Very true. Local goods are essential. Thank you for sharing
