Contest Opened To All: How Did You Celebrate Your Christmas?
Hello my beautiful people from this #steemghana community, what a wonderful and emotional contest, and above all it unites us with the users who participate despite not speaking the same language, with this contest We will know how Christmas is celebrated in different parts of the world, our traditions. Christmas is a very beautiful time where peace, family unity, brotherhood, solidarity, etc. reign. Here is a small review of how I celebrate December 31, my last day of the year 2020.
This year was atypical in relation to the other previous years, therefore what I longed for the most was to be reunited with my family, since the pandemic had separated us physically, we only communicated by cell phone, but we exhausted all the resources to be able to return to being together especially sisters and nephews and an aunt who live in the same city. My sister who lives in another city and my partner who is in another country were missing. It is a pleasure for me to make you participate in the arrival of the new year at my house together with my family. In addition to receiving the year as a family, that day my sister had her birthday, and this celebration could not be missed, we chopped a cake and we were able to share as a family.
Together with my sisters we prepared some Hallas, an exquisite salad of chicken, leg in black sauce and we bought ham bread, and thus we prepared our Christmas dish that most Venezuelan families prepare some ingredients may vary but the hayaca and the salad never lack. For drinks we had an exquisite cream punch that my sister prepared, and soft drinks for the little ones in the house.
The smallest of the house, they felt so happy, that they did not separate throughout the night, each one told how they had experienced it during the pandemic. They laughed out loud, they took pictures, they felt happy, what made them most happy was being with the family.
We sing happy birthday to my sister Ana, my sister always celebrates her birthday, even if it is a bite of cake, we buy her cake, and I celebrate her birthday with the family.
Very calm I spent with my family the celebration of Christmas and the New Year, the most we did was talk, remember the previous years of Christmas as a family, this year we could not go to visit close family like cousins, aunts, etc, for prevention, in previous years we went to the door to say a happy new year, this time it was not done, each family was at home sharing, we waited for the next day to greet our neighbors. My family spent three days at home until January 3, when they said goodbye and were very satisfied that we managed to reunite.
And in this way, celebrate Christmas 2020 as a family. Wishing in this new year much love, peace, prosperity and what I most hope for is that the pandemic disappears.
