Where and When I found steemit

This is a very beautiful question.
Like I said earlier while introducing my self,there is always a first time to everything. I was introduced to steemit in February 2021 but officially joined in March.

Well I know you're suprised at this point,someone is asking how come you were introduce in February and then joined marched?. If this is your question then it's my pleasure to answer it.

Steemit came right when I needed it ,I won't be wrong to say God used it to save me from my financial mess. Like I usually say,I will forever bless the day this platform was introduced to me by my friend @supo1, a friend and a brother in my church.

May God bless his tender and caring heart. He talked me into signing up even though I had a lot of doubt and questions on my mind. I will never forget where he first mentioned it.

We were in a bus returning from a church program and amidst our interesting discussion,he chipped it in and then I was eager to know more even though I wasn't sure I wanted to do it.

The next encounter we had was in the church where he took his time to show me how the platform works after one glorious evening service. He showed me some of the post he made and how much he has made on each post.

I even saw some post where he used my pictures even without my consent...lols.
In my mind I was like...can you imagine,this guy must give memy share o o... Lol

I really struggle with the thought of joining as I was very afraid because I didn't want to get involve in anything scam or fraud. I have been scammed before and I didn't want to be scammed again.

Moreso there was something about crypto that I wasn't too okay with then before knowledge liberated me. I finally decided to try out the platform when I discovered there was nothing to lose. As we weren't paying anything to sign up.

This was what led me into signing up eventually in the month of March. I believe I have been able to answer the question when and where just as requested.

My journey so far on steemit

Is there any path to something great that doesn't have ups and down? I believe there is none.
So is my journey so far. My journey has been with a lot of wins and some challenging moments as well

There are times am all pumped up to do more because I was obviously motivated by upvotes and there are other times am not even encouraged to continue. I believe many of us have been at that point as well.

But I must say the beautiful experiences I've had on this platform coupled with the positive things it has added to me overshadows every of the downside I've experienced. Let me share some of the things I've benefited so far.

• Relationships

I've met some amazing people on this platform who have now become close pals. We share ideas and thought,play and relate like we have known ourselves for a very long time but the reality is that we met few months back on this platform.

The friends I've met so far have been very good and helpful to me. Even if I leave the platform today,they will still remain in my life. Am grateful to steemit for giving me these friends.

• Mentorship and Tutelage

I was never a writer before joining steemit. Infact one of the challenges I had when I joined was what I would be writing everyday. I was never a blogger, so how on earth am I going to come up with content daily and then we were told consistency is key,how do I get consistent with all of these.

These and many more were the things I had to battle with. But I got answers to all of this because steemit is designed in such a way that you come in contact in folks who hold your hands and show you how to do things here.

There are so many platform many of which are external but affiliated to steemit such as WhatsApp, telegram, discord and the like created by well meaning users. Newbies are taken care of and guided on these platforms. I also benefitted from this and before I knew it I started writing and also learnt by observation.

I ensured I followed those who were more experienced than I am and in no time I began to put up content in the best of my ability and I thank God for where I am today,I can boldly say I am not where I used to be and I still work on my self daily to improve on the things I've learnt so far.

• Finance

Steemit change my financial status. Maybe God saw how I used to be broke and then used that friend of mine to help me out by introducing steemit to me. Things indeed change financially.

I can now sort out somethings myself financially without being a burden to those around me. This is the reason why I tell people around me about it,I don't keep shut at every given opportunity to talk about it.

I also thank the steemit team for putting up the club status initiative and other nice initiative which has really helped us to give back to the platform in form of power up. I've been to power up some substantial amount which I believe will help in supporting others as well.

Conclusion

Steemit has been a huge blessing inspite of the downs we have experienced. If I am to sum up my whole experience on this platform,I would say it had been "awesome".

My post will be incomplete if I don't invite my friends @olabillion @yakpeace @josepha and @ruthjoe to this contest. I hope they find this contest interesting enough to be participate in.
