Today my school children applied a concept they have learnt in science lesson in their various groups to perform a practical activity on mixtures. They were made to research on certain foods that can be mixed with other food appying the concept of solid liquid mixture, solid solid mixture and liquid liquid mixture.

The three groups in the class chose to perform one activity to represent the kind of mixtures that being under discussion.
Prior to Today's lesson each grou knew the activity that they were going to perform and has made the necessary preparations as far as ingredients and bowls were concerned.

During the lesson delivery each group was asked to list the ingredients for the activity.
After the introduction of the various ingredients each group was then given 10 minutes for the preparation of the choosing mixture.

Strict instructions were given to pupils to adhere to as mixture/ food prepared would be tasted.
After the preparation other class teachers were invited to taste and award marks.

Marks from the various teachers were collated and group 1 emerged as the best group.
It was hands on activity that made pupils to understand the topic better.
