The Diary Game || Return to Work at CKT-UTAS, Navrongo || 01-06-2021

Hello,

I come your way today to share with you my activities at work.

I woke up around 6:30 and did some washing. At 7:40 am, I took my breakfast which was tea with bread. I took my bath and set off to work at 8:30 since we are to report to work at 9:00. It is a 20-minutes walk to campus and I made the walked walk enjoying some fine music from the Legendary Daddy Lumba.

At the workplace, I passed by the department and was tasked by the Head of Department for Applied Chemistry and Biochemistry to mark some scripts. he took his time to explain to me how the marking was done and gave me the marking scheme.

School just reopened and lectures are online so no student was on campus. The place was quiet that you could hear a pin fall. The online lecture is a result of curbing the spread of the Covid-19 and also pave way for the completion of some projects that will destruct students during lectures.

I went from the department to the lab to do the marking since I mostly stay at the lab during working hours. My normal everyday task at the institution is to assist the lab technicians in organizing practical sessions for students. It is only in the absence of such that I help with other stuff.

It was a google classroom assignment and the marking was done online. Most students did well with the highest being 9.5/10 and the least 4.5/10. Some students for other reason submitted empty answers or their work could not be found.

At 14:200 pm, I was done marking and returning results for the 71 students. I joined Caesar and Enock in some scholarship chats. We discussed how Enock was funding his Master's program and the various avenues to fund a postgraduate or graduate program.

I ate my rice and stew brought from home and joined the postgraduate presentation for some minutes. It was a nice presentation on nanoparticle extraction from maize. This I learned is used in our daily lives medicine for drug delivery, agriculture, sunscreen, and many more.

I went to report to the HoD on completion and at exactly 17:00, I left for home and relaxed.
