Tell Us About Your Favorite Childhood Experience. By @ishayachris

Cordially greetings to the amazing family of @steemghana community and their friends and lovers around the globe. I'm happy to be among you once again to participate in this wonderful contest, titled "favorite childhood experience". Before I proceed, I do love to appreciate the effort of this community and @nattybongo for their great effort in making this platform amazing.

Indeed, the experience we had during our childhood forms a greater part of who we are today, and it can go as far as determining our behavioral patterns, thought, and action. As humans, we all had good and memorable childhood experience that whenever we remember them, we laugh and wish to have the ability to bring the past to present.

When i was a kid.

Anytime I flashback to some of the experiences I had as a child, I laugh and say to myself, oh...! gone are those days when men were boys, when all we knew was to play, eat, go to school, come back home, and sleep. There was nothing to think about. No sorrow nor pain in our heart. All our problems were shouldered by our beloved parents. Now we are men and can only flashback to remember those beautiful childhood memories. Below is one of best childhood experience.

When I was a kid, I love Christmas days and every end of the session party days in my school.
During one of the Christmas picnic we had in our family, my dad decided to finally fulfill his promise of taking us out on a picnic. Actually he has been promising us outing for sometime but, he normally don't fulfill his promise due to some reasons, but on that particular Christmas, he kept his words.

My mum did some preparations on Friday evening and continued on the Christmas day which is Saturday morning. She got our clothes ready, cook our delicious fried-rice and prepared our mouthwatering meat on Saturday morning.

We left the house at exactly 12 noon after church service. My dad drove us all in his car. My brother and sister, Esther aged three (3) and Samson aged six (6), and I were so excited. My brother and I wore the new clothes mother got for us. The hours we spent on the road seemed like a whole day because, we were anxious to get to our destination. We could all smell the aroma of the fried rice and the meat my mum had packed in a lunch box.

We finally got to Lekki Beach after what seemed like ages. There were many picnicker's already there. The Beach was so beautiful and colourful with different colours of tents and beach wears worn by picnickers. Dad chose a good and quite spot for us far away from distractions from other picnickers. We sat comfortably and cooled down with mum's homemade fruit juice. After our meal, mum and dad allowed us to have a ride on a horse. At first I was scared, but when I saw other kids riding on the horse, I summoned up courage and I rides very well on the horse. After riding for almost an hour, we swimmed, played some games, and many other activities. The picnic was really full of fun and the memory is still flesh in my brain.

In conclusion, I had many childhood experiences as a child which ranges from being chosen as the best student in primary school, quiz competitions, drama, and so many of them. The picnic experience happens to more fresh and memorable in my brain.
