Before we can begin our journey in striving to attain success in life, we must first bear in mind that we have to first study ourselves and know our strengths and weaknesses. Without this crucial step, we will not be able to optimize our abilities and will remain average throughout our journey.

To find out, we must inquire from others who will most likely be the best judge of characters and people who wish nothing but the best for us. Great examples will be our elder siblings, parents/guardians, teachers and some friends as well.

You cannot find out all your flaws and strengths simply by trying to deduce them on your own. Chances are that you probably will not be able to see as better as someone who it directly affects.

After gaining some insights about yourself from the third person, you should also ask them what they think can be done to improve upon them. Most likely, they are bound to help you brainstorm some ideas. No idea here is a bad idea. It simply boils down to the kind of individual you want to be.

If someone tells you that it is wrong to be generous all the time, it is up to you to know the right thing and stick to generosity. Similarly, just because an elderly person advices you doesn't mean it is automatically the right advice. Sometimes, they are also lost and need lots of guidance themselves.
