Corruption exists in all corners of Ghana with little efforts to curb it apart from usual legislation and rhetoric from political leaders. Those that indulge in it does not walk free, but are also immune from prosecution thus, empowering them to loot and enjoy impunity. Many a time, discussion about corruption are always fixated on political thievery. But truth be told, corruption has permeates the fabric of our society to the extent that it has been normalize.

Our family system that served as cradle of nurturing and moral up-bring has degenerate and made way to individualism where we are thought to strive, get there and chop as well. In a subtle manner, we're being nurtured to be more corrupt and unpatriotic. Instead of being mirrors of society, those we look up-to has embrace the religion of corruption and there seems no hope in let go the newly embrace faith.

The private sector has also embrace this religion and has not become mere members, but fanatics that bribe themselves through every government contract. They have form cabal with foreign companies and keep paying huge amounts for contracts. They influence the political class to give them contracts that needs to be bid competitively. Contacts are awarded to them through sole sourcing and they have perfected their act by bribing and having huge influence on booth side of the political Isle. They tactfully play their cards by not bandwagon into the side of any political party. They pretend to be neutrals yet, they are those milking the system.

The auditors General report always indicate how public sector corruption keeps rising every year. Perhaps they have also adopt unto themselves the STATE RELIGION called Corruption and are embolden by the political thievery that goes unpunished every day.
Be it public or private, individual or group, citizen or spectator, corruption has become endemic in Ghana because it has been adopted as religion that is zealotry followed by all.
Yes I believe we need to prosecute politicians involve in such act, but wee need to take a look at ourselves anytime we point a finger at someone.
