I have a story and I would like to share for my fellow Steemians to read.

Story :The ungrateful lion

chapter 1

living in peace

Once upon a time, in a kingdom known as Adapaa. There lived a group of animals who were happily living together in peace. They were, lion, sheep, tortoise and parrot. These animals were always happy, because they had aboundance of food in that village. They had food in aboundance such that they had to invite friends from other neighboring villages to come and have some food when ever they go hungry. Due to their unity and srengh, they made a difference in that village.
Even though some of the animals were Superior than others, they agreed to live in peace, never to harm each other.
So they worked together and had food in aboundance.

chapter 2

The attck

One day as these animals were peacefully enjoying their stay in the village, something strange happened.
The Parrot as we all know is a bird that is capable of flying and moving around in air, realised something. As it was moving around as usual, he came across some group of animals who were planning to attack the lion and kill it with the mindset that when they succeed in doing that, they will be able to take over that village.
Because they knew that the lion was the strongest amongst them so when he is eliminated, they will take advantage and conquer the rest of the animals in that village and thus taking over.
parrot couldn't rest on the issue so he Immediately, went and revealed to his friends what was at stake.
The animals at Adaapa as usual came together and mapped up a strategy
to fight those attackers.
On the next day, the attackers invaded the village and went straight to the Lions house but due to the strategies Adapaa animals had put in place, they were able to fight them and eventually won the battle. But unfortunately after the fight, the Lions house and all his food were burnt.

chapter 3

Helping the lion

Due to the incident that happened, the rest of the animals came into an agreement to offer help to the lion.
Sheep had two buildings in his house so he offered to give one to the lion. The rest of the animals also gave the lion enough food and other items that would replace his lose.
The lion was excited and thanked his friends for what they have done.
He moved inn and stayed in his new found home. The rest of the animals would check on him every morning and evening ensuring that he was comfortable and happy again.
The lion was treated such a way that he had forgotten easily what had transpired.
You could see that for some weeks, the lion had bounced back to normalcy.

chapter 4

The unfortunate incident

On one unfaithful day, something terrible happened. There was drought and eventually resulted into famine in the land. The animals had no food to eat and due to that, some of them decided to move insearch of food, living the lion and the sheep in the kingdom.
Lion conceived a bad intention of bouncing on sheep and using him to feed himself due to hunger, he had easily forgotten what sheep and his friends had done for him when he was in crises.
So one day, the lion went and hid in the bush waiting for sheep to pass so that he could bounce on him and kill him.
After some few minutes, sheep approached and immediately, the lion attacked him, but unfortunately, he missed his target and upon chasing the sheep, he slipped over and fell into a big pit. The pit was duged as one of their strategies to deal with those who attacked the lion sometime ago.

When the sheep saw that the lion had fallen into that pit, he came backed to observe what had jut happened. The lion pleaded with the sheep to get him out.
He promised not to hurt him when he is freed.
The sheep had mercy on him and helped him out.
Immediately he realized his freedom, lion bounced on the sheep to trying to kill him
But there came the parrot passing.
When he saw what was about to happen, he approached and stopped the lion.

After listening to the sheeps explanation of the matter, he had to device a strategy to set free the sheep. As wise as he is, He then asked the lion that, is it true that this little animal brought you out of that pit? The lion answered yes.
I don't believe you said parrot. If it's true, then, get back into the pit so that sheep will get you out again for me to see and believe, so that I can testify.
The Lion, blinded by pride and arrogance, never taught of the matter twice so he went back into that pit.
Immediately, Parrot said to the lion, you are an ungrateful being. Despite all what your friends had done for you, this is how you pay them back.

Parrot and sheep left the lion in the pit.
