The diary game[20/07/21]-Better life: Eidul adha , the festive season of love and appreciation to Muslims
Eid ul adha is the Muslim festival marking the culmination of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca and commemorating the sacrifice of Abraham.
It honors Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael to the order of God as an act of obedience. God provided a lamb instead of sacrificing before Abraham could sacrifice his son.
It’s a day of love, appreciations, forgiveness, giving alms, making sacrifices and most importantly Eid-prayers.
On this day, Muslims dress in their best outfits, either old or new and go to Eid grounds to observe a very brief Eid prayer.
After performing the Eid prayers, greetings and picture taking just to spice the day up with our beautiful dresses.
From the Eid grounds, everyone disperses to their various homes to slaughter which ever animal they could afford. Goat, sheep, cow, buffalo or camel are the animals Muslims can sacrifice on this day.
While the men of the house are working on the animal sacrifice, the women are also busy in the kitchen preparing a delicious meal. Food and drinks are in abundance on this day.
The children are not left out either. They run errands for the house. By going round to share food and meat to the neighbors. Everyone plays a role on this day.
