CONTEST ENTRY ON WHO OR HOW HAVE YOU IMPACTED PEOPLE LIFE'S WITH STEEM.

Greetings everyone, I am highly delighted to share with you all my entry for the contest on who or how have you impacted people’s lives with steem.

I must say that I have impacted a lot of lives and I have helped people around me from my earnings on steem. Yet the one that touched me more was how I was able to help my own father pay a carpenter for the job done in his building.

Two days ago, I received a message from my dad on WhatsApp on how he was short of money to pay the carpenter for ceiling his abandoned building since 1998. He wishes for us to move there but due to insufficient funds, he still is unable to complete it. God knows how much plans I have for the house.

Last two years he decided to start making a gradual work process on it. First he managed to roof the building and now he is ceiling it. He bought the plywoods for the ceiling and was short of money to pay the carpenter’s workmanship.

He then texted me to assist him for some cash. The conversation:

I made the transaction from my mobile money right away.

He asked for 50gh cedis and I sent him double of the amount. Which is 100gh cedis. That’s the spirit! For us to grow higher and be able to give back billions of what our parents did for us while growing up. Even though it’s never possible to repay them all that they did for us, but at least we should be able to show appreciation and support them when they are in need.

I have also made donations with my friends to the Tamale children’s home

We contributed an amount of money from what we made on steem and bought some provisions such as drinks, bags of rice, bags of sachet water among others. I also add some clothes of mine which I no longer wear. Specifically these clothes were bought with my steem earnings.

We all gathered at @farhmade’s house and moved to the children’s home together. We conveyed them to the children’s home in a tricycle.

We made the donation and was presented a thank you flyer from their representatives.

Their representative took us round the children’s home. We met some of the children.

The long and short of it is that I am grateful to the steemcommunity for granting me the opportunity to help people, including my own family. I’m forever indebted to this wonderful society.
