My Town In Ten pictures: 15th December 2020 - Ahwiah, Kumasi

Greetings people of steemit. I was just exercising my body by talking some short walk around the community. Whilst i was doing that i saw some places around which are important in our community. And i would like to share them with you for you guys to see how our community looks like with pictures.

The mosque where we offer our prayers

The mosque painted with different colours is located just at the back of our house. Its where all the muslims in our community go there to offer prayers also known as Salat in the arabic language. When its time for prayers one person announces it with a speaker. We pray five times daily.Prayers are normally done together.

The charcoal selling point

Charcoal selling point also located just after the mosque. The charcoal and the mosque are in the same lane. Charcoal is obtained from the woods that have been cut down and burnt nearly into ashes. The community likes the charcoal one more than the LPG one because the LPG has a lot of toxic and irritative disadvantages and aslo the charcoal is cheap and affordable by all those in the community.

The well-known herbalist's house

This is the house of the famous herbalist known was Osofo Yeboah. This man has a lot of knowledge when it comes to combination of two herbs or plant to form a herbal medicine. So because of that people in our community comes to his center for him to give them herbal medicine and aslo deliver them spiritual and emotionally. He has a writting in the Akan language as his motto which means "Recovery from diseases comes from God".

The water pumping machine for fetching water

This is the site where all members of this community who dont have water pumping machines in their houses go and fetch water. The center is open at 4am at dawn to 7am in the morning so people are normally seen within that period of time.

Food stuff selling and buying point

This shop is where food stuffs and commodities are sold out. The shop is owned by a certain woman. At this place food stuff and commodities like pepper, garden eggs, okro, ginger, tomatoes and many more are sold out.

Salki water packaging company

This place for packaging water is located at the narrow street leading to the main street. This place they only package the water in a form of sachet. And being sold to us at 20ps. The package the in different packages. Some are the sachets and in a form of bottle with different litres. I assure you this, there is no sign of impurities in the water. And also it tastes great.

The T-junction linking the main street

This is the only T-junction in our community. People coming from old-Tafo normally dodge the traffic by passing on this street above. And also those vehicles also coming from Meduma, upon reaching Adabraka if there is traffic they just branch and take the T-junction to avoid the traffic.

The main street or road itself

This road links a lot of narrow roads around. This street can only be used when going to places like Aboaso, Meduma, Ahwiah, Tafo, Kejetia and the rest. If you are in a vehicle and you move from right to left u will be seeing places like Ahwiah, Meduma, Manponteng and the rest and from right to left there will be places like Pankrono, Tafo, 4miles, Kejetia and the rest.

BYB washing bay

This place is for one man who lives overseas
It is popularly known as the members of the community as the BYB washing bay. The owner doesnt stay here so has employed people to be working for him so he will be giving them salaries. The employees are very good at washing cars. If everyones car is shining without dirts on them, thanks to BYB washing bay.

The nearest clinic close to the street

21st clinic is the nearest clinic located in the hood. I have never been inside the clinic buh those who have been there before come out saying the doctor is very good. He has patience and have a friendly relationship between he and the patients there. Buh i am yet to confirm if what they are saying is the truth.
