The much anticipated budget for 2022 was presented today in Parliament By Hon. Ken Ofori Atta in what he term as budget of savior, meaning a lot of things are in there which have some restorations As a youth, my demand was about employment, the strategies the government want to implement in curbing unemployment situation in Ghana.

Excerpt from 2022 Budget..

The minister made mentioned Youstart, which is geared towards in supporting them to establish business and this comes in a form of loan packages. The Youstart initiative aims to support the youth to develop commercially viable businesses. To this end, Youstart is designed to instill proper commercial orientation in the beneficiaries. This will include financial institutions determining the credit metrices and GEA and NEIP providing training support especially for the standardized SME loans

District level loans under 10,000GHC after 2-3 months of training.
soft loans of up to GHC50,000 to help start-ups(particular by young graduates and school leavers) and small businesses to expand)

Starter Packs(soft loans tied to equipment acquisition)) of up to GHC50,000 for individuals and GHC100,000 for association/groups.

A standardized loan package of between GHC100,000 to GHC400,000 at a concessional rates for SMEs through financial institutions.

This whole is going to take effect in March 2022. This is really a good news for we the youth especially for those of us who want to start their business. When we are given the support from government, we won't chase government for jobs.

Upon all that was said, I enjoyed this really as it touches the problem of the youth of the land and this is what we want to see the government tackling.

It is great to hear and know that the government is trying their own possible best to make Ghana a better place for all.

What did they say will be the percentage of interest after going for those loans?

Thanks for sharing.

for now nothing was mentioned about the interest..but hopefully it won't be something huge
