Communication

In the Akan adage it is said that no matter how difficult a situation or dire a circumstance may seem, it is by words that things are resolved, we need only talk about them in the right way, in the best way possible by the right people and things would calm down, whether it may have been like the ranging storm or a hurricane.

This goes to point to the fact that communication is one of the most important things that govern our human life and our relationship with people even with ourselves. Communication with your partner will ensure that you are on the same level always, it ensure trusts and helps growth between individuals.

In the same vain, communication will ensure that your friends understand you as much as you understand them, it helps keep the love and support and makes it easier to relate with others. Keeping things to yourself or trying to find solutions to problems alone always will not only make you feel lonely in this world but would also have detrimental effect on your mental health.

That's when communication with yourself even comes in, not only do we have to communicate and do so well with others but also with ourselves such that we can speak to ourselves, convince ourselves of what is right and wrong, what we ought to do and those we shouldn't do, what is ok, what we should let go and embrace things we may have not done right etc.

And so the next time you thing of keeping things to yourself, remembers that communication is everything.
