THE DIARY GAME || 31/03/2022 || MY THURSDAY'S ACTIVITIES.

There is another wonderful and beautiful day again! My dear steemians on great platform, I greet you all. Today is Thursday, the forth day in the week. I woke up very early today and did my house chores. Among the house chores are ; sweeping, cleaning, and washing of few utensils. I then took my bath and dressed up to school. I got to school at 7:45 am and started my school activities.

THE PEOPLES MAKING OBJECTS WITH CLAY

In my school, we have a special day set aside for the children to use the available materials in the environment to display their potentials. Every time and it material. Today, we have selected a particular material they should used to display their talent. The material they used today is clay. Clay is very abundant in our community. They are found around water bodies in the community. They were told to bring the clay today to make crafts with the clay. Almost all the children were present in school today. No one can afford to loose this special day. They all came with their clay to show what they got in them.

ALL THE CHILDREN WERE INVOLVED IN THE LESSON

When it was time to start this event, a bell was rang and all the children assembled in front of the headteachers office for introduction. The headteacher gave the introduction and the children were given way to start work. It was very memorable day, both the little children and the grown ups were very busy manipulating clay live a diving ball. This children were very amazing, especially the little ones. Everybody choose a particular object they wanted to mould or creat with the clay. Some used the clay and made animals while others made artifacts with the clay.

Before moulding, the clay was first prepared before the moulding commenced. The clay was first soaked with water, the other particles apart from the clay were removed from the soaked clay. After all the inferior particles removed, the clay were pounded in a mortar to make it soft and fine for the work. They started the work with the fine clay to creat are moulded a lot of artefacts or objects. Almost all the children took part in the exercise. This exercise made our day in school a memorable one. All the work were assembled with each of the children standing beside their work for pictures. We also have them marks and recorded their marks in the assessment book.

The day was very exciting and we did not want a day like you to end but as they say, everything that has beginning has an end. That was the end of this special day.
