Contest: Steemians Who Have Greatly Impacted My Life on Steemit

Making a difference in the lives of others is what life is all about. We are always remembered by the imprint we leave on the lives of others, not by the number of years we spent on this planet. Also, people should be honored while they are still alive, not after they have passed away. I'm grateful to the Steem Ghana leadership for the wonderful opportunity to share about a person who has influenced our Steemit lives.

Knowing about Steemit and joining it has been a life-changing experience for me, and I'd like to thank the steemian who assisted me in discovering this incredible platform. His name is Samuel Odame, and his user name is @odsam2. We had a brief conversation about Steemit in 2017, a year after the platform was launched.

I had no idea there was a website that paid out in cryptocurrency until he assisted me in signing up and writing my achievement one post. I had no idea what Steemit was or how it worked until he became my guide and helped me understand most of what I know now.

Without a guide, life on Steemit can be difficult; it's like embarking on a journey to an unknown location without a map. I felt like I was on a deserted island, but with his help, my first post trended, giving me a large following in a short period of time.

After receiving a huge upvote on my first post, I assumed that's how it will always turn out until It happened that there was no upvotes for a while. I felt completely demoralized and wanted to give up. Later, I realized that perseverance and determination are some of the keys to success on Steemit, and that upvotes are not always assured, especially if you are a newcomer with limited Steem power. Because of Odsam2's support and help, I was able to stay on Steemit for a while.

With the help of @odsam2, I was able to join communities like @promo-steem and @steemchurch and we were able to participate in a number of steem outreach and meetups that allowed me to meet great steemians like @mcsamm and @anaman, both of whom have been very supportive of me throughout my Steemit journey. They have also done an outstanding job and should be recognized for their contributions.

I can't recall and enlist all of the positive impacts they have had on my steemit life, but I owe them a huge debt of gratitude for everything they have done. We have evolved into a family rather than just buddies. I want to use this time to express my gratitude for their contributions to my Steemit success.
