RAPE - A Disturbing Issue In My Community😪
It's very awful to see how young girls, babies, ladies and Women being a victim of rape. It hurts and thereby leaves a very big trauma to the victimized. This issue should have been resolved and put to stop if the so called rapist had learned to control themselves whenever they feel or become aroused.

WHAT IS RAPE?
Rape which is sometimes called sexual assault, can occur to both men and women of any age. The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation defines rape as:
"The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim."
Rape is a forceful attempt and it's unwanted, It's usually concerned with power, not sex. A rapist uses a force medium or violence to take control over another human being. Most of the apprehended rapists use drugs to take full control of the victim, thereby using the effect of the drug to take away the person's ability to fight back. Rape is a crime and a crime it should be called indeed, whether it be that it happens in a date, family members or stranger, it's a crime.
A STORY OF RAPE IN MY COMMUNITY
My heart still bleeds so bad as am sharing you this story. In the community where I reside, I have a male neighbor who lives in the next street adjacent to mine. Before the incident too place he had been asking my kid sister of 17 years old out. But because my sister is the open type and tells me everything for her safety, that's how I got to know the guy.
Looking at the over 34 years old guy with 87% of a complete man, you will hardly believe him to do such. This guy in particular has a rented apartment, has money and he is building at the village. So I see no reason why he should have fallen into such temptation. let me quickly tell you how it all happened:::::
Oluchi is the name of the 4 years old baby girl that have always wanted to be in this guy's house because he gives her phone to watch films and play games. When this guy started using this little girl is when we don't know. And it happened to be that she has gotten used to it.
One evening, oluchi was coming out from the guy's house to go pee outside, her mom sighted from afar a whitish thing between her laps, she drew her closely and realized it's sperm. She shouted and barged into his house and there the guy started begging, she called for alarm, people came, pitied her but this woman didn't take it that serious.
The next day, this guy cooked rice and shared the mother of the child and his neighbors just to shut their mouth and also to kill any court case that will rise up.
| It pains me so much to see this woman been bribed with just common rice, neglecting the pain, trauma and uncomfort this little girl will be facing. |

Rape is not an issue that is supposed to be tolerated in any community of certain at all. I doubt even in the animals kingdom, this does not happen. I will entreat that we all control ourselves in other to prevent this issues of rape vanish.
Upon critical examination of the whole thing, it simply means that he used the mobile phone to get the small girl. It it is mostly these little ones that suffer it.

Rape/Defilement is a despicable act that must be frown upon by all. Nonetheless, parents should play a role by watching the types of dress their female wards put on.
Again, this act is not perpetrated by men alone, women/ female adults also engage in it. We seldom mention that in our conversations.

It’s is a very sad situation to know your community still suffer from .Rape is a very act and should be punishable by law for who so ever is responsible for the act .The survivors always under serious trauma that the feel un comfortable to associate to the society .Let say no Rape irrespective of the age

Thanks for sharing. Rape is not something anyone would like a sister, mother or daughter to be a victim of. Our problem in our part of the world and especially Africa is the fact that relatives always come pleading for home settlement of case. Those which finally end up in the hands of the law makers usually yields no results especially if the victim cannot afford a good lawyer. When people don't fear the law, they will not fear the act. It is our collective responsibility to make the laws work to deter others from such acts.
