As we all know 🌺October🌺 has been tagged the pink month to help raise awareness annually against breast cancer. Breast cancer is known to be one of the deadly diseases drawing more females to the grave.

🌺According to WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO)🌺

In 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 685 000 deaths globally. As of the end of 2020, there were 7.8 million women alive who were diagnosed with breast cancer in the past 5 years, making it the world’s most prevalent cancer. There are more lost disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) by women to breast cancer globally than any other type of cancer. Breast cancer occurs in every country of the world in women at any age after puberty but with increasing rates in later life.

You and I do not want this to happen to us or any of our relatives, therefore, early detection matters. You can self-examine yourself to detect any abnormal changes in your breast. Such as change in breast color, symmetry, any palpable lump, nipple discharges and pain within the breast. This can be some signs and symptoms of breast cancer. But early detection can save your life.

I got my screening done for free at Ridge Medical Center in Accra for free. You can visit any nearby hospital to have you brest examined you can also have a breast scan done thus the mammogram to detect any abnormalities.
