Divorce simply means children lose daily contract with one parent -most often fathers.I simply will define it as an unsettled disputes between couples which which affects children if they are present.The dispute can either be legal or just private.Divorce in my own opinion I wouldn’t tell people to choose it as a way out unless of course there’s no option again I will advise couples to make peace rather.
During the days of our ancestors,we heard divorce wasn’t common.The questions I ask myself and you is that,
Don’t we marry for love these days?
Aren’t we allowed by our parents to choose the spouses of our choice?
Don’t we have the best of weddings these days?
If the answer to all the above questions is Yes.Then why is divorce very common now?

According to the teachings of my religion which is Islam.The procedure layed out to undertake a divorce is a very stressful one.Which our scholars explains it indicates how unhappy Allah is with divorce.Unless of course there’s no other option for the spouse.
Research on parent child affection has shown that children become less close to fathers after divorce in Ghana.This is as a result of the time our mothers dedicate to spending with us when we are growing up as kids.Mostly in our African certain,fathers are the bread winners of the family and this makes them very busy and they do not get enough time to spend with their wards.Divorce also affects a child’s relationship with the custodial parent-most often mother’s,mothers are less supportive and less affectionate after divorce more over their discipline becames less consistent and less effective.Parent separation affects children a lot in a sense that, children moves to new homes,changes new communities and new schools and sometimes let them feel less human they by demoting the child’s and making him/her fell useless in society. Together with the marriage cancells in Ghana 🇬🇭 let’s say No to divorce.
