Hello, everyone.

I came across this post made by @steempromoafrica where they called on anyone interested to join the contest on why powering up is important.
So here is my own entry.

WHAT IS STEEMIT

Steemit is a decentralized blockchain website that rewards you with Steem, Steem power or Steem dollars for your activities on the platform provided you share quality post deviod of plagarism on the website that would get people to upvote you.

WHAT IS POWERING UP

Since you get paid in steem dollars, steem power or steem dollars on your post. Powering up involves a process of converting your steem dollars or steem into steem power.

Now, as part of the commitment i had made to my own self i have decided to power up too.

WHY POWERING UP IS IMPORTANT

Now there are so many importance benefits involved in powering up of steem, i will list them on here;

GAINING MORE INFLUENCE

When you take a deep look on the steemit platform you would realsie that a few people have more power and influence than others on the platfrom, the reason is because they have more steem power than others. Powering up would help to build your capacity to the extent that you'll become powerful on the steemit platform.

EARNING MORE MONEY
One of the ways to earn money on steemit is by
"self upvote" you can only do this if you enough steem power. So powering up will equip you with the ability to earn more money.

HELPING OTHERS

Just like you can upvote on your post and earn money, you can also upvote on other peoples post and help them earn. The really good thing about helping to vote on other peoples vote is that you would get to earn more rewards by doing this. Don't be selfish always help out as this is also a great way to help you grow.
