THE THEME OF THE DAY DAILY CHALLENGE: SUNDAY-MYSTERY/THRILLER @dilchamo

Today I’m going to share one of my book experiences. The theme of Sunday is Mystery /Thriller. I loved reading books of different genres which were bit old. When this pandemic situation came up I was so worried that I couldn’t go to the library which is located only 100 meters away from me. Then I tried finding something to read even online. So I found the book called“Chaos Walking” which was later screened into a film in recent past. And also the book has under gone several editions.
The story is based on boy called “Todd Hewitt”. The specialty in these people is all men had a disorder named “Noise” which they can hear and see each other’s thoughts. But there was a lack of that disorder with Todd. When Todd went to the town he didn’t feel or hear anyone’s thoughts. But all others heard and felt about a crash of a ship. While Todd was walking alone he met Viola who has come from another world. She was the only survivor from the ship crash. Todd took Viola to his guardians. Then they explained about the Noise and asked both Todd and Viola to escape to a new place with his pet dog which is far from the current place as viola needs protection. They both went to a place with lots of people who were living with their families.
Then they settled in a place and started reading the diary of Todd’s mother. In the diary it says that women were not killed by aliens but Prentiss kill women too. Prentiss means the people who Todd lives with since his childhood. They kill many people as they have the ability of hearing and seeing other’s thoughts. They had showed Todd a fake relationship. Todd was angry with Prentiss for lying.
Then Todd and Viola by knowing the truth tried to escape from the current place but Prentiss also followed them.
Finally Todd and Viola caught up by the Prentiss group near a colony ship. They all had an illusion power to fight. A very ferocious fight went on and Prentiss died. Todd was also severely injured. After that Todd was taken to the colony ship by Viola and he was fully healed.
The mysterious way of killing people and the nature of two worlds are described in the story.
