WORLD OF XPILAR: Today's Activities at the Coastal Market of Lhokseumawe
Hi all, how are you today?
May creativity always accompany you in managing posts on this platform.
Yesterday I discussed a little about the fish market in Lhokseumawe and the various economic activities that took place, now I want to share information that is not much different from yesterday's information.
What I want to discuss now is about the slaughter of pujat anchovies on the coast of the city of lhokseumawe.
Before I tell further, I want to explain a little about the state of the port of Lhokseumawe city.
The fish unloading port of Lhokseumawe city, which is located precisely in Pusong village, Banda Sakti district, has two types of fishing boats that operate with different fishing gear, the first is fishing boats using nets to catch tuna and the second is fishing boats using nets to catch anchovies.
Fishing boats with tuna nets unload fish at the harbor dock, while fishing boats that catch anchovies unload fish directly on the beach.
When fish are unloaded on the beach, of course the way it works is not easy because with sand conditions it is very difficult to move and the location is very narrow.
Some of the pictures below show the activities of buying and selling fish caught by anchovy net fishing boats.
The workers were seen loading the fish onto the rickshaws that had been bought by the traders. This fish will later be processed by drying and sold to various regions in Sumatra.
This open fish has not been sold and is waiting for buyers. Seen this delicate squid fish usually will be sold to fish pond fishermen. Usually the price of this fish is very cheap, only around 800 thousand rupiah per barrel of 170 kilo grams.
Seen the traders who are observing the squid fish that have not been sold. Besides being sold to pond fishermen as fish feed, this scallop fish can also be boiled and dried, after which it will be sold to Medan.
While anchovies, the price is quite expensive, ranging from around 3 to 4 million rupiah per barrel measuring 180 kilo grams. Lately in recent years, the price of anchovy continues to soar, because the last few years the fishermen do not produce, because there is no fish in the sea.
The busyness of the traders in haggling over the price of fish amazed me, even the women who also work as traders can even beat the male traders .
Here's a little information about my village that I can share today, I hope my friends like it.
