About My City:


Lucknow is my city. It is the biggest as well as capital of Uttar Pradesh. It is a historic city known for its rich cultural heritage, architectural monuments, and delicious cuisine. Lucknow is often referred to as the "City of Nawabs" due to its association with the Nawabs of Awadh, who ruled the region in the 18th and 19th centuries.


The Rumi Gate

Rumi Gate, also known as the Turkish Gate, is a grand gateway located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built in the 18th century during the reign of Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula. The gate is made of brick and plaster, and stands 60 feet tall. Today it is a popular tourist spot and a symbol of Lucknow's rich cultural heritage.


The Clock Tower

The Clock Tower in Lucknow, also known as Ghantaghar, is a prominent landmark in the city. It is located in the heart of the city, near the Hazratganj market area. The tower was built during the British Raj in 1881, and stands at a height of around 82 feet. It is designed in the Victorian Gothic style of architecture, and features four clock faces on each side. But today it serves as a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of Lucknow's rich history.


The Vidhan Bhavan

The Vidhan Bhavan in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India is the legislative assembly building for the state of Uttar Pradesh. It was inaugurated in 1996 and is located in the heart of the city, near the Hazratganj area. The High Court

The Residency

The Bhool Bhulaiya

Bhool Bhulaiya is a historical labyrinth or a maze located in the city of Lucknow, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is part of the larger complex of the Bada Imambara, a large Shia Muslim congregation hall. The River Front

Gomti Nagar is a residential and commercial area located in the northeastern part of Lucknow and it is known for its well-planned infrastructure and modern amenities. It is one of the most affluent and developed areas in the city and includes many high-end residential colonies, shopping centers, and office buildings.


The Maqbara

Maqbara is a term used to refer to a tomb or mausoleum in the Islamic tradition. In the context of Lucknow, there are several notable Maqbaras that can be found in the city. One of the most famous Maqbaras in Lucknow is the tomb of the Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, who was the ruler of the Awadh region in the 18th century. The Maqbara is located in the city center and is known for its intricate design and beautiful calligraphy.



How do you feel when you discover new places? What will be the next place you will visit and why?


I feel very happy when I get to discover more & more places in my City. As I told you that Lucknow is a City of Nawabs. I would like to visit Badi Kali Mata Temple which is near chowk side because I am a devotee of lord Maa. I had visited this temple last year.

Badi Kali Mata Temple is a temple located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is dedicated to the goddess Kali, who is a Hindu goddess associated with power, destruction, and creation. The temple is considered to be one of the most powerful and ancient Kali temples in the region. The temple complex includes many shrines and statues of different gods and goddess.
