Tounge Roller || PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #079
Hi Steemians
it's my photo from the street
Stand in front of a mirror. Open your mouth slightly and try to move the sides of your tongues toward each other to make a U-shape. If you can do that, you're a tongue-roller. Whether this is a genetic factor or not is still a controversy in science.
The misinformation began in 1940 when geneticist Alfred Sturtevant wrote that tongue rolling was a genetic trait that stems from one dominant gene.
His theory was debunked 12 years later by researcher Philip Matlock, who noted that in seven of 33 pairs of identical twins, one twin could roll his tongue while the other couldn't.
