NEW COLLAGE CONTEST, theme "WORDS" | Time | ENG / ESP

Hello @silviadiez and all the art lovers present in WOX.

Motivated by the fact that the topic of the collage contest seemed to me a good way of expression, I decided to do a test in this speciality that seems simple, but in my opinion, it is not as simple as it seems.

The idea I had at first was to take advertising phrases or slogans and make a mixture that had a certain chaos, which in the end is what publications transmit to us, as I think they are overloaded with advertising. As soon as I started looking I noticed the amount of advertising messages related to time and clocks, so I changed my initial objective and focused on that topic, time, making the idea of chaos disappear and trying to make the message be one of order.

I chose a black background as I wanted the aesthetics to transmit seriousness, transcendence, and from there I chose an image, and added the phrases related to time that seemed most appropriate, trying to make the message a little critical about what advertising wants to "sell" us, and that in the end is a complete dependence on time.

Motivado por que el tema del concurso de collage me parecía una buena forma de expresión, decido hacer una prueba en esta especialidad que parece sencilla, pero en mi opinión, no lo s tanto como parece.

La idea que barajé al principio era la de coger frases o esloganes publicitarios y hacer una mezcla que tuviera un cierto caos, que al final es lo que nos transmiten las publicaciones, ya que creo que estas están sobrecargadas de publicidad. Al poco de empezar a buscar me di cuenta de la cantidad de mensajes publicitarios relativos al tiempo y a los relojes, entonces cambié mi objetivo inicial y me centré en ese tema, el tiempo, haciendo desaparecer la idea del caos y intentando que el mensaje fuera de orden.

Elegí un fondo negro ya que quería que la estética transmitiera seriedad, trascendencia, y a partir de ahí elegí una imagen, y añadí las frases relativas al tiempo que me parecieron más adecuadas, intentando que el mensaje fuera un poco crítico acerca de lo que la publicidad nos quiere "vender", y que en el fondo es una completa dependencia del tiempo.
