What strange houses there are in the Lagoon ...

Yesterday I had a chance to visit these particular houses that are located south of Venice immersed in the lagoon.Here we are still in the province of Padua but in reality we are in an area that has currently been recognized as a Unesco world heritage site precisely for the its waters and its valleys where there are various species of fish.

Practically in this area, they made a beautiful recovery project because originally these houses called "Casoni" were born to give a form of refuge to those who lived in these parts and were built simply with straw and were also used to defend themselves from the wild animals of the area. area or were also used as a refuge by the numerous fishermen who frequented the area.

Practically they are built in a quadrangular plan with raw clay bricks and the roof made with marsh reeds and straw the very interesting project and the fact that the municipality of Codevigo has practically recovered these Casoni transforming them into an Inn with a refreshment point and even accommodation for sleeping. the night practically a kind of bed and breakfast to give tourists the opportunity to visit the surrounding park which is rich in many species of birds.

Among other things, they told me that you can also take a boat tour of the Venetian lagoon to admire the entire ecosystem present.
I considered this project an excellent initiative of naturally recovering ancient traditions but bringing it into the modern era.
Many people in Italy also live in large cities and do not even realize what it means to be in nature in contact with wild animals and here they can have this experience.
