Photo Contest: Post Processing #17
Deutsch im Anschluß...
Selecting an original photo from our own collection and reworking it in (at least) three different ways - that's the current task that @bambuka and @evagavilan have given us: who doesn't spontaneously think of the variations of Marilyn Monroe in Andy Warhole's diptych...?
To emulate the great pioneer directly with a portrait did not seem quite appropriate to me. Nevertheless, the challenge has its appeal: perhaps this style also works with other motifs? At first I thought of an animal portrait. But I didn't like the way it was realised. A simple representational motif (like a soup can ;-)) is rare among my photographs... A picturesque landscape can well be changed and varied by various processing steps, but the result is not satisfying; it remains a distorted landscape.
So: where can I start this time to make myself feel comfortable with my contribution?
The idea: reduced landscape. A single tree, strong contrasts, beautiful light reflections. I took the matching photo in the Vosges some years ago.
What do I do with it now? The version in black and white is a must for me; I also increased the contrasts:
Inverting was the "stage direction" in the last episode of our little party, so that's what I'm coming back to here:
And finally I change the colouring to create an unreal and unearthly impression, like from a science fiction movie or a bizarre dream..:
And I can live with that then ;-)) My four-pack as an example of alienation and recognisability:
Dearest thanks for the renewed invitation to play!!!
Deutsche Version:
Was stelle ich nun damit alles an?
This one is nice! I like the result.
Me too ;-))
..I didn't think so :-))
It looks like there will be many interpretations of this assignment. Well, the more fun the party is)
The option marked Jpeg is also attractive to me... both dramatic and fun at the same time :-)
I loved the results!
