Deutsch im Anschluß...

This time I really wanted to be part of it again: For the tenth time, @bambuka called for a competition (or invited to the party ;-)) in which the focus was on image processing.

The template and idea was contributed by @lllll1ll - and I was thrilled! From the original photos. I myself like motifs that are less reminiscent of lost places and more of hidden places: buildings in the middle of the jungle, so to speak. I'm always very happy when I manage to take such photos...

Well, in this respect, these photos would also be taboo for me again if they were slumbering in my archive - no reason to change them and no possibility to improve them ;-))

So in the context of the competition, there was no consideration for me of what would I perhaps prefer to see instead of the reality depicted...? That somehow led directly to the question: what would surprise me the most when I look through the weathered window...? With that, the decision for one of the two offered pictures was made!

And possibilities arose ;-))

First of all, I changed the colours and contrasts of the template a little bit, so that they fit better to what I wanted to insert into the window section. Once again, GIMP was my tool of choice.

Then I switched to pixlr.com to add a new content to the place where a wonderful landscape was pleasing my eyes and heart. Now I could not photograph this one so easily myself - for reasons... ;-)) So I looked for a motif that I could use appropriately and found it on a book cover ("ANOTHER REAL UFO CRASH MYSTERY" by Dean Caporella). The cover image seemed to me to be made for my purpose; moreover, the private use of the "photo" is approved on the associated website.

No sooner said than done: the two photos actually fit together as well as expected. Shadows had to be reworked a bit with a brush function and a new adjustment of the colour tones seemed necessary.

So, slightly amused, I present my result:

A bit sad that I didn't really succeed with this "snapshot" - but what is not, can still come... ;-))

Dieses Mal wollte ich unbedingt wieder mit von der Partie sein: @bambuka rief zum mittlerweile zehnten Mal zu einem Wettbewerb auf (bzw. lud zur Party ein ;-)), in dem es um Bildbearbeitung ging.

Die Vorlage und Idee steuerte @lllll1ll bei - und ich war begeistert! Von den ursprünglichen Fotos. Ich selber mag solche Motive, die weniger an Lost Places als vielmehr an Hidden Places erinnern: Gebäude mitten im Dschungel, sozusagen. Bin immer sehr froh, wenn mir solche Aufnahmen gelingen...

Nun, insofern wären auch diese Fotos für mich wieder tabu, wenn sie in meinem Archiv schlummerten - kein Grund, sie zu verändern und keine Möglichkeit, sie zu verbessern ;-))

Im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs gab es also für mich nicht die Überlegung, was würde ich vielleicht lieber sehen statt der abgebildeten Realität...? Das führte irgendwie direkt zu der Frage: Was würde mich am meisten überraschen, wenn ich durch das verwitterte Fenster blicke...? Damit war die Entscheidung für eines der beiden angebotenen Bilder gefallen!

Und es ergaben sich Möglichkeiten ;-))

An der Vorlage habe ich zunächst ein ganz klein wenig Farben und Kontraste verändert, damit sie besser zu dem passen, was ich in den Fensterausschnitt einfügen wollte. Hierbei war GIMP ein weiteres Mal das Mittel meiner Wahl.

Anschließend wechselte ich zu pixlr.com, um einen neuen Inhalt dort hineinzubasteln, wo eigentlich eine wunderbare Landschaft mein Auge und Herz erfreute. Diesen konnte ich nun nicht so einfach selbst fotografieren - aus Gründen... ;-)) Also suchte ich ein Motiv, das ich passenderweise verwenden konnte und wurde fündig bei einem Buchcover ("ANOTHER REAL UFO CRASH MYSTERY" von Dean Caporella). Das Titelbild schien mir wie gemacht für meinen Zweck; außerdem wird auf der zugehörigen Webseite die private Verwendung des "Fotos" genehmigt.

Gesagt, getan: die beiden Fotos paßten tatsächlich so gut zusammen wie erwartet. Ein bißchen mußten Schatten nachbearbeitet werden mit einer Pinselfunktion und eine erneute Angleichung der Farbtöne schien mir erforderlich.

Ich präsentiere also leicht amüsiert mein Ergebnis:

Ein bißchen traurig, daß mir dieser "Schnappschuß" nicht wirklich gelungen ist - aber was nicht ist, kann ja noch kommen... ;-))
