Aah more book discussions. I am not so sure if more books achieve more freedom. It depends on what we read and how open we are. Since we all are products of how we are taised, the influence of religion, our education, the state I have strong doubts about the freedom aspect.

By reading one can briden the horizon, it can give food for thought but is what is written true, an ancient old idea, made up or part of the next fake new message?

Many today can not tell the difference and blindly believe each printed word and act correspondending to it.

More knowledge does not automatically go hand in hand with freedom, they more commonly are enemies. Knowledge of many is a threat to those in control.

The only freedom we still have is the choice out of offered books which we - are allowed - to read and the choice to believe it's true, fiction, fairy tale or....
This all based on how we were raised.
