The Tate modern

in WORLD OF XPILAR5 years ago

Whilst I was in the Southbank I walked along the river to the Tate modern. I love the Tate modern because The art in the range is from awesome to bizarre I’m just down Right weird.

What is my favourite pieces was the amoeba installation. There was actually a whole exhibition but tickets were fully booked but they did have some in the entrance hall that moved up and down slowly.
They also had the infinity mirrors exhibition, which I’ve always wanted to go to Japan just to see because I want to see it so badly but that is fully booked till March 2022 so I guess I’ll still have to go to Japan!

This white canvas has definitely been there awhile, I’m pretty sure it’s one of the most photographed pieces, simply because I think it’s one of those things everyone looks that and thinks this is ridiculous if this can get into the Tate a child can scribble on a piece of paper and get in. It really is one of those pieces that makes you question what is art? Maybe they leveraged it’s popularity as they now having an entire room full of white converses! LOL

Here are some of the weird pieces that to me are really lame. Of course Art is subjective and it begs the question what is art? I think for me art is something that can be viewed on its own without the need for a written explanation to realise that it’s art. Annoyingly me my battery died whilst I was in here but I missed capturing a shelf with workmen‘s clothes on and a strange pile of junk with some tea strainers in. I guess they have entertainment value but to me that isn’t art, of course some people may disagree with me And they clearly do hence why they’re in the Tate. I do love abstract and unusual are however so there were many pieces that I did really like.

It reminded me how much I love walking around the galleries though and how I should take advantage of the fact they are all free in London. Which is your favourite?

Wow!! It's wonderful that we are able to see the exhibitions in the Tate museum thanks to you!! I think I share my views on art with you and the preferred works in this visit! The empty canvas seem the "emperor clothes" to me!

Thanks for share on the World of Xpilar!!
