Hello friends.

I hope you all are fine.I am also fine here. Today I will discuss with you a little bit about Khardongla Pass. The height of Khardongla Pass is 18380 feet above sea level. Khardongla Pass falls in the Ladakh region of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the website, the pass was opened to the public in 1988. There were no paved roads at that time. There was a narrow dirt road to reach the pass. But over time, that is likely to change.

This pass is operated by the Border Roads Organization. This pass is of great importance to India's strategic design as it is used to supply the Siachen Glacier. The distance from this pass to Leh is 40 km. I have shared many photos of this pass with you in this post. Which is full of the beauty of nature. The area is located at an altitude of 6100 meters. Its car has very low levels of oxygen. So it is not advisable to spend a long time on that valley.

There are many boards in the road on which it is written that the highest motorable pass in the world. And its calculation is nominated in the world Guinness Book. But I don't think so. Because there are so many places in the world that are at a height. And where there is also connectivity by road. If you have any such space in mind, let me know in the comments section.

The breathtaking views of the route during this pass make it worthwhile to experience the tour at least once. This pass is also the gateway to the Nubra Valley. The popularity of Khardongla Pass is growing day by day. Due to which the traffic problem is also increasing here. To prevent this, the road has been divided into 4 hours during traffic hours. Vehicles coming from Leh are allowed to pass from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Similarly, the exit time from Khardungla to Leh is from 1 pm to 5 pm. The rest of the time the traffic is open to both sides.

After reaching the height of this pass, the road appears to be lined with ropes.
The temperature of Khardungla changes very rapidly. So it is difficult to say accurately about the temperature here. The average temperature here is 22C in summer while it ranges from -30C to -35C during winter. When it snows in winter, a sheet of snow as high as 6 feet is spread here. This information is really interesting.

A visit to Khardungla in Ladakh is a must. Khardungala is also known as the 'Lower Castle Pass'. Khardang La is the inspiration for motorbike expeditions. The atmosphere, fresh air and natural scenery attract tourists from all over the world to visit Khardungla Pass. The beauty of Khardungla Pass can be seen in the photos uploaded in this post.

This photograph is taken from HTC One f/2 Focal length 4mm.
