The ommatidia, or millions of microscopic surfaces that make up unique complex vision, each function effectively a separate vision component. Fly can see entire environment via the hexagonal construction. Flies having great ability to sense motion as well as may precisely distinguish moving things because of an overabundance of ommatidia, which helps them escape danger and find food.
