The World of XPILAR - B&W PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #082 ~ Gold Medal

This light installation represents a girl named Sara Kolak, an athlete who won a gold medal in the javelin throwing discipline with a shot of 66.18 meters 5 years ago in Rio de Janeiro.
Kolak made one of the biggest sensations after her victory was brought a shot in the fourth series in which she threw a javelin 66.18 meters.
This girl, a 21-year-old athlete, left behind South African Sunette Viljoen, who threw 64.92, and the world record holder and defending champion, Czech Barbora Špotakova, who threw 64.80.
Her gold is the fifth gold that Croatia won in Rio and the ninth medal for our country at those Olympic Games.

The installation was placed on the main square of the small town of Ludbreg with 8,500 inhabitants, hometown of Sara.
