Rowan tree is adaptable to different climates, adapts to neglected and dry soils, the only important thing is that it has enough light, and is resistant to drought and low temperatures.
Its tree is very beautiful and can grow very tall and branched with a thin gray-brown bark, which is cracked and very similar to a pear trunk.
The fruit is round in shape on a long stalk, reddish-yellow in color. The taste is bitter-sour, and only after the first frosts do they become brown, soft, tasty and sweet.
They ripen in September and October.
Although the rowanberries they do not have too many different vitamins, they are very rich in vitamin C, sorbic acid and dietary fiber.

Preparations from its berries can relieve pain and dilute the appearance of new migraine attacks.
Rowanberries is not picked from the tree but when it matures it falls to the ground and then shrinks.
Rowanbarries is an almost forgotten plant in my area with extremely medicinal properties.
An even worse fact is that the aspen is becoming rarer in many European countries, which is why it is considered an endangered species.
The medicine and food of our ancestors.
... thank you ...
Always learning something new through your great relation with nature and its many treasures. I went to search for more information about this formidable plant, mostly for the action on the immune system, so important these times.
Thanks for share in the World of Xpilar!!
Rowanberries was known in ancient times, and wine and vinegar were made from it. The dried fruits were chopped and added to the bread to make it sweet and fragrant. Many kings and queens in Europe ordered their people to plant these medicinal trees in their yard alongside pears and apples so that they could be nourished and healed. They planted them along the roads with a mulberry tree to invigorate the passengers and to provide them with shade, because these are tough trees that have a good yield every year.
My friend, every medicine is in our nature, we just need to find it, thank you for the comment and for visiting my post.
Cheers my friend ✌
Wow! What a great history of this plant and its relation with medicine and human communities there in Europe. I can think of corn ("maíz"), which here in the American continent, mostly in México, is a fundamental part of culture.
