Island Millennial Photography ~ Children Of Peace ~ (100% power up)
Šime Strikoman who is best known to the public as the man who is the father of Millennium Photography.
Creating Millennium Photography is a process similar to making a movie. Step by step, first the idea and then the synopsis, the script, the drawing, the preparation for filming and the organization of the scene.
The first Millennium photo was taken on November 5, 2000, with the desire to photograph the citizens of the town of Vodice (a small town on the Croatian coast near Šibenik) at the transition from the second to the third millennium.
A millennium is an event, an experience, a gathering of people who belong to a certain topic and socialize with each other, and the photograph itself is a document, a memory of that meeting or event.
So far, he has taken about 700 of them and this millennial photo is called 'Children of Peace' and was taken as a part of the celebration of 'Operation Storm' (military action in the war when Croatian territory was liberated and the war ended), on the island of Kaprije.
To take these photos, new technology such as drones is not used, but only a crane that raises it to a height of 30-40 meters, depending on the need to take it, sometimes it is done from a helicopter, but the important thing is that the camera is always in his hands.
... thank you ...
