Cuttlefish are an order of marine animals from the class of cephalopods. They are masters of camouflage living exclusively on the bottom and hunting from ambush.
Their mantle consists of three muscular layers: the outer and inner are circular in structure and extend around the whole body, while the middle layer is constructed of transverse fibers.

Inside the body is a bone

It has tentacle on its head with which it catches food. Eight are equal with attachments (adhesive organs) while the remaining two serve to capture prey and are considerably longer than the others. They stand rolled up in a bag under their eyes, and at the time of the hunt the cuttlefish can throw them out at high speed onto the prey. In addition to the grips, there are also hooks on them that reduce the possibility of escaping the prey.

Between the arms is a mouth with two teeth with a characteristic beak-shaped appearance. It feeds on fish, crustaceans, and other smaller organisms

Mainly inhabits the sandy muddy bottom.
It is fished with the same technique from a boat or from the shore, so we lower the lure (imitation of shrimp) to the bottom and provoke a cuttlefish attack with short jerks.

Fleeing from the enemy, it also emit a special type of dark brown ink which, mixed with water, becomes an opaque cloud and thus allows the cuttlefish to escape.

That dark ink is the main ingredient of black risotto.
