Dragonflies are one type of animal that we often and easily encounter in everyday life. Even around the house or where we live it is also possible as a habitat for dragonflies. Especially in the area of the house with a yard or close to a garden where various kinds of plants and trees are growing. Therefore, in rural areas it is much easier to find dragonflies than in urban areas, so many villagers hunt and catch these dragonflies for food, bait and animal food. Even though the capture was quite difficult, because they were used to it it felt easy for them. The majority of people know this animal by the name of dragonfly only, not by several names and scientific classifications, so below are several classifications regarding the scientific naming of dragonflies.

Dragonflies are animals that are included in the kingdom Animalia Linnaules. Some of the other classifications include the phylum arthropoda latreille or animals with books and the Insect class Linnaeus, which is an insect having two connecting points. While the subclass is pytergita lang or a group of insects that used to have wings or winged insects that now no longer have wings. This means that dragonflies are descended from ancestors in the form of winged insects. The type of ancestor is thought to be Neoptera or Palaeoptera . Furthermore, dragonflies are also included in the Palaeoptera infraclass the same as their ancestors because they are unable to flap their wings over or over the abdomen.
