NUKA - Traditional Watercolor | sequence of its elaboration. 🎨
It is said in Latin America that the dog is man's best friend, I don't know if this phrase is repeated in other latitudes. For me it is not.
What I do believe is that dogs are the beings that most show affection to man, they are the ones that greet you with great joy after a day's work or when you come back from school, university, not to mention if you return from the supermarket after having passed through the deli or the meat department.
In reality, dogs are disinterested, you can reprimand them for some bad habit or some of their mischief and after a few minutes they are back to wagging their tails wanting to jump on you to make you forget what happened.
In this modern society, dogs have become a member of the family.
As children I remember having 4 dogs in my family at different times, one at a time, very playful, one more intelligent than the other, but one thing in common, very loyal.
Fortunately I didn't see any of them die, most were transferred to other families when we moved to other places.
I had a few months without going through the posts of some of my followers, until last week I came across a post from a steemian I hold in high esteem , she was reporting that one of the pack members had passed away.
His name was Nuka a patient Spanish Mastiff, he was the oldest of the canine pack, he was the mentor of my friend Max.
I don't know if with this painting I can express my condolences, give them strength and at the same time raise the spirits of the gang, or maybe it will cause them to be saddened again by Nuka's death.
When I read the publication written by @chriddi, I could see in her pictures that Nuka was not having a good time and was tired.
I could also notice my friend Max's sadness at the loss of his master.
I hope that after these two months, you have recovered from this situation, I wish you to be strong, go ahead, take care of each other, and obey the boss @chriddi.
A respectful hug and kisses to @chriddi in the distance.
Below I show you a photographic sequence of its preparation.

Wow! When I opened my feed on mobile this afternoon (just a quick check), I couldn't believe my eyes as I scrolled. "That's Nuka, isn't it?" without looking at the user or the headline. LOL, your "handwriting" is of course unmistakable.... ;-)
Afterwards, tears came to my eyes. Not only a wonderful way of condolence, but a great honour! A great honour for the most stubborn and above all bravest dog in the world, a great honour for his remaining pack!
Many, many thanks - also on behalf of my hubby, who could not take his eyes off Nuka's very successful painting, sighing deeply.
It's good to have you back... :-))
I don't really know where they are going, but they must go to a good place, much more so when they fulfill the mission of cheering up, caring for, protecting, alerting a family.
They go over the Rainbow Bridge into dog heaven. From there, they can hop to their human souls whenever they want, as soon as they join them (which is usually later).
In the meantime, my friend's dog died. She laughed in her grief when she said it was so nice to know that her darling had the best company in dog heaven through Nuka.... :-)
