RE: How Does Steemcurator01 Support Affect Authors' Behavior?
It's a relief to hear from you. My thoughts have been nowhere else all morning. As expected as this perhaps was, it's still hard to believe.
I live in Kalush, Western Ukraine. I hoped it would be far from the front, but today at 5 o'clock in the morning the neighboring city was shelled. In addition, our cities have sabotage groups that arrived here long before the war.
My chemical plant will probably be the next target, or the power plant next door.
Is that Lviv?
I really hope that you're able to stay safe and that your leader shows strength - along with all global leaders. Putin must be stopped, whatever the cost.
On a lighter note, now that I know you're ok, I've bought Canales back from you.
Oh, I forgot to mention. The neighboring city is Ivano-Frankivsk.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 What a drastic change of subject! Take anyone, our government is announcing a general mobilization today. Maybe I'll have to change the type of activity. All my life I dreamed of doing charity, and most likely I will have to kill people.
I didn't see that line coming - saying it how it is!
Suddenly everything changes.
And as irrelevant to your life as this question feels... what now for your life on Steemit? You surely can't continue with all of your activity given the current "situation"?
It depends on whether I will be drafted into the army, if not drafted, then whether I will have the Internet. But of course I will not be so active. Now the morale is not the best, anxiety does not allow to write posts.
How are things looking today? Is your family all safe?
Thank you, my family and I are safe. Today we urgently shut down all chemical plants. We hope to make them less attractive for shelling. In addition, stopped plants are not as dangerous if they are fired upon.
I would have written you off sooner, but after work we had an air alarm. We had to go to the shelter. Fortunately, there was no shelling, there was a combat collision of aircraft relatively nearby (for aircraft it is nearby, about 40 km).
We also gave various things to refugees and transferred money to the army.
Such interesting news :)
It will be night now, but I can't say that it will be calm.
Good to hear from you, I came to the conclusion that you were away now, drafted into the army, gun in hand like so many Ukranians have been forced / chosen to do.
It appears that Ukraine's decision to fight is surprising a great deal of Russians who think that by this time next week, the war will be over and Putin victorious. The propaganda that they've been fed telling them that "Ukrainians want to be freed from their current government".
Perhaps surprisingly to you, it is interesting. I closely follow the news and what is being said on either side but there are very few people able to talk to somebody who's living through this every day.
I hope to hear from you again tomorrow with more boring news 😀
I understand and am fearful. I fear of you being drafted to fight a war that you did not want is inevitable. I hope that your country's determination to fight this evil is supported.
